Thread

A connected series of short posts published as one chain, used to tell a longer story within a microblogging platform.

A thread is a sequence of posts linked together so they read as one piece, letting you stretch past a single post's character limit. It's the native long-form move on microblogging platforms like X, Bluesky and Threads.

The first post is the hook — it has to earn the "show this thread" tap on its own — and each subsequent post should pull the reader to the next. Threads are also handy because the opening post can be shared and quoted independently of the rest.

TipBreak a long draft into clean, per-post chunks with the thread splitter.
