Share of voice (SOV)

Your brand's share of the total conversation about a topic or category, relative to competitors.

Share of voice (SOV) measures how much of the conversation in your category belongs to you versus everyone else — your mentions, hashtags or reach as a percentage of the total across all players. It's a competitive-visibility metric rather than an engagement one.

Rising SOV means you're capturing a bigger slice of attention in your niche, which tends to lead demand. It's often paired with sentiment analysis so you know whether the share you're winning is positive.
