AT Protocol

An open social networking protocol built around portable accounts and domain-based handles — the technology behind Bluesky.

The AT Protocol (Authenticated Transfer Protocol) is an open standard for social networking built around portable identity: your account, follows and posts aren't permanently tied to one server. It's the protocol behind Bluesky.

Its signature feature is the domain handle — you can verify yourself as @yourbrand.com instead of a generic username. It's a different approach to the same goal as the ActivityPub fediverse: open microblogging where no single company owns your audience.
