User-generated content (UGC)

Content created by your customers or audience rather than your brand — reviews, photos, testimonials, mentions you can reshare.

User-generated content (UGC) is anything your audience makes about you instead of you making it about yourself — a customer's photo, a review, an unprompted shout-out, a tutorial someone filmed of your product. You curate and reshare it rather than producing it.

UGC carries weight because it's social proof: a stranger's word lands harder than a brand's own. Surfacing and replying to it is a core part of community management, and at scale it shades into influencer collaboration when creators make content in exchange for product or pay.
