Cross-posting

Publishing the same or adapted content across multiple platforms, ideally tailored to each rather than copy-pasted.

Cross-posting is sharing one piece of content across several platforms — the same announcement on X, LinkedIn, and Bluesky. Done well, it stretches the value of work you've already made; done lazily, it's an identical copy-paste that ignores each platform's format and norms.

The fix is light adaptation: trim for character limits, swap the handle conventions, resize images per platform. It overlaps with content repurposing, but cross-posting is about distribution across channels rather than reshaping content into new formats.
