Carousel

A multi-card post users swipe through horizontally — multiple images or slides in a single shareable unit.

A carousel is a post made of several swipeable cards — images, slides or graphics — that you flip through one at a time. It's a native format on Instagram and LinkedIn, and a favourite for step-by-step explainers, before-and-afters and listicles.

Carousels tend to punch above their weight on engagement rate: each swipe is an interaction, and the format rewards a first card that works as a hook. Like the reel and the story, it's a platform-specific shape, so a carousel built for one network rarely cross-posts cleanly to another.
